Our dried herbs are second to none and this catnip is no exception.

Catnip contains nepetalactone, a compound that triggers a psychoactive response in cats' brains. Cats typically "get high" for 15–30 minutes, and may not react to catnip again for a couple of hours after the effects wear off. However, cats seem to limit themselves and won't take more catnip than they want.
not all cats like catnip, so it's best to observe your cat when you first give it to them to make sure they're not stressed.

CAT USES: Catnip, or Nepeta cataria, is a natural herb in the mint family that can be used for many purposes with cats: 

Behavioral issues- Catnip may help with behavioral issues like scratching furniture instead of scratching posts, or not using a new pet bed. You can sprinkle catnip on the furniture or bed to get your cat's attention.
Stress and anxiety- Catnip may act as a mild sedative to help cats relax and reduce stress or anxiety. You can give your cat catnip before stressful events like car trips or vet visits.
Training- You might use catnip as a reward to encourage positive behavior during training, such as using the toilet, cat bed, or cat flap.
Play-You may put catnip in toys to encourage active play and exercise.
New environments- You can sprinkle catnip in a new environment to maybe help shy cats feel comfortable and make introductions go smoothly.

Human health: Catnip has long been thought to have medicinal properties. Humans can drink catnip tea made from the dried leaves or white flowers that may help with:
Relaxation: Catnip's calming compounds, nepetalactone and nepetalactone acid, may help the body relax before bed and promote sleep.
Anxiety and nervousness: Catnip may reduce anxiety and restlessness in humans, though there isn't enough research to confirm this.
Digestive issues: Catnip has historically been used to treat diarrhea, gas, and stomach cramps, and may relieve muscle spasms in the intestinal tract.
Pain relief: Catnip may also help relieve pain.
Insect repellant: A 15% lotion made from catnip essential oil may repel mosquitoes, spiders, ticks, cockroaches, and other insects.
Swelling: A poultice made from catnip can be used externally to perhaps reduce swelling.
